Anne Burrell

Anne W. Burrell was an actress on television, ex-chef at the Institute of Culinary Education and she was formerly an instructor of cooking. Burrell hosts Secrets of a Restaurant Chef on the Food Network and the co-host of Worst Cooks in America. With her signature spiky blond hair and her pumped-up appearance, Anne Burrell eliminates the intimidation of dining out, and provides straightforward, simple techniques to master to cook at home in her Food Network series Secrets of a Restaurant Chef. Burrell is a chef who has been in the kitchen for a long time. Burrell is also a veteran of New York City's best restaurants. She has also explored Italy's cuisine and the culture of Italy, along with the natural environment. Early on, while living in the New York's Upstate region, Burrell became passionate about food and cooking. The Culinary Institute of America was the catalyst for her passion for restaurant management after she earned an English/Communications diploma at Canisius College Buffalo NY. She states "I loved being a Culinary Institute of America student. I enjoyed every moment." It was difficult to master how to do, or even work hard enough. Following graduation, Chef Burrell went on to spend one period of time in Italy attending an Italian Culinary Institute for Foreigners as well as working for La Taverna del Lupo in Umbria and La Bottega del 30 a one-Michelin star restaurant in Tuscany. The chef gained an understanding of Italian food and culture during her stay in Italy and this has affected her cooking style. Burrell was a member of the Garden of Dreams Foundation Advisory Board which helps brighten the lives of children facing obstacles and is also a Juvenile diabetes research foundation Celebrity Ambassador where she is an advocate for juvenile diabetes awareness. As a speaker, Burrell is on the road to share her passion for cuisine and to promote her professional career as a chef. Anne has stated throughout her professional career that she feels so fortunate to be able communicate with people what is truly important for her.

  Amy Poehler was born September 16th, 1971. She is an American actor and comedian. After studying improv at Chicago's Second City and Improv Olympic in the early 1990s, Poehler co-founded the improvisational-comedy troupe Upright Citizens Brigade.
