Milena Govich
Milena Govich is an actress director,
musician, and actor. She has helmed numerous episodes of TV, including Chicago
Med (2015) (211) and The Equalizer (221). Milena served as the Co-EP/Producing
Director on Dick Wolf’s CBS show FBI (2018) and is currently attached for two
pilots. Milena was chosen as one of eight directors for AFI's prestigious
Directing Workshop for Women. Unspeakable the short film she created, as well
as a TV show proof of concept was shown at SXSW. The film also won Best Episodic
Award at the Seattle International Film Festival, and Best Pilot at SoHo
International Film Festival. The film, Temporary, she produced (2017) was shown
throughout the United States. The film won the award for Best Narrative Short
at Anthem Film Festival. Best Dark Comedy Award at Atlanta ShortsFest. The
Director's Choice Award from Sedona International Film Festival. As an actor,
Milena has been featured in close to 100 episodes of television. She first
gained national attention in CBS's Love Monkey (2006), then as the
prostitute/con-artist Candy on three seasons of Rescue Me (2004) (Denis
Leary/FX). She also appeared on the Dick Wolf series Conviction (2006) that led
to her being the first and only female detective on the Emmy-winning television
series Law & Order (1990). K-Ville (2007), The Defenders (2010) (CBS),
Make It or Break It (2009) (ABC Family) and Lori Stevens in the MTV drama
Finding Carter (2014) have been a part of her, or have recurred. Milena also
appeared in several movies like Sordid Things (2008); A Novel Romance (2011)
with Steve Guttenberg; Pass the Light (2015) and #Lucky Number (2015). She also
starred opposite Method Man. Milena was born in Norman, Oklahoma was the
valedictorian in her high-school, but before that, she graduated with the
double major in vocal performance and a premedical degree at the University of
Central Oklahoma. She was also named valedictorian. Then, she capitalized on
her classical ballet training to make an appearance on Broadway in the Sam
Mendes/Rob Marshall production of 'Cabaret' in Studio 54.
