Markie Post
Markie Post grew up in Walnut Creek,
California and began her career in film and TV shows, such as Card Sharks
(1978) and "The New Card Sharks" (1986) and went on to even make
projects like Double Dare (1976) and has made appearances on such TV shows like
1st to Die (2003), E! True Hollywood Story (1996), Electra Woman (2001), and
Dyna Girl (2001). She is perhaps most famous for her role as "Christine
Sullivan" as a Night Court star (1984). She was featured in more than 156
episodes of the comedy between 1984 and 1992. Daughter of Marylee (Armstrong)
Post, poet and noted nuclear physical scientist Richard Freeman Post (November
14 1918 - April 7 15th, 2015). Two daughters were born to her husband, Michael
A. Ross: Katie Ross (born June 26 1997) and Daisy Ross (born March 30 and died
on March 30, 1990). Born in Palo Alto in California and raised in Walnut Creek.
As an athlete, she was a part of Las Lomas High school located in Walnut Creek.
She earned her Bachelor of Arts from Lewis & Clark College, Portland
Oregon. She was an act in The Wildest West Show of the Stars (1986). She was
buried and her ashes were given to Michael A. Ross. She was a lifelong
Democrat. Markie Post, who was three months from her 71st birthday date on the
4th of November, 2021, died on August 7. She died 27 days after Charles
Robinson, her Night Court (1984), co-star, passed away on July 11 2021. While
they were totally different shows, Night Court (1984), which she played was
cancelled in 1992, with Christine Sullivan leaving for Washington DC. Hearts
Afire (1992) where Post was a new character Georgie lahti (who, incidentally,
had previously worked in Washington DC before moving to a smaller area) was
released in 1992.
