conceived in Los Angeles on September 20 1970. Shortly after the birth of her
daughter, her parents moved to Dallas, Texas. She graduated from Booker T.
Washington High School of the Performing and Visual Arts in downtown Dallas.
Later she received the BFA degree from Stephens College in acting and also
studied at British American Drama Academy. She also spent six years at the
well-known Dallas Theatre Center and one year with that theater's Encore
Company. Prior to her big screen debut, she began her acting career from
theaters. Her stage credits include "As You Like It", “A Funny Things
Happened on the Road to the Forum" "Measure for Measure", and
"Chicago" and "Chicago" as well as numerous other
productions. Her most memorable performance came in the role of Angelina Jolie
in Michael Cristofer's highly acclaimed HBO television series Gia (1998) that
made her popular to critics and viewers alike. Then came the sci-fi time-travel
adventure Frequency (2000) featuring Dennis Quaid and Neil LaBute's
much-anticipated Nurse Betty (2000) opposite Renee Zellweger, Elizabeth showed
her charismatic acting skills. Elizabeth Mitchell has many credits for television
series, theaters and films. She's still a great actor. She broke her nose while
filming of the film Frequency (2000). Hertz Rent-A-Car ad for 1994. However,
"they pulled it due to the O.J. thing." David Lee Smith was her
boyfriend in the year 1995. Their parents are Dallas-based real estate and tax
attorneys who own their own firm. They are located only 5 blocks away from
their Dallas home. The actress returned to the U.S. from Europe after a lengthy
run as Rosalind in a stage production "As You Like It". She was born
in Los Angeles, California in the year 1970. Her parents then moved to Dallas
in Texas. She attended Booker T. Washington High School of the Performing and
Visual Arts in the city of Dallas, Texas. She graduated from Stephens College
in 1991 and was awarded a Fine Arts Degree. Spent the back end of 2001 in a
role opposite Ioan Gruffudd as Cyd in Man and Boy (2002) which aired in March,
2002 on BBC 1 TV
