Rita Ora Bio

Rita Ora, a British music producer and singer. Rita Sahatciu Ora was a British singer-songwriter , born to Vera Bajraktari and Besnik Sahatciu in Pristina, Kosovo in 1990. Besim Sahatciu is the granddaughter of her mother. At the age of one, her family made the decision to move to England. She was born in West London. She attended St Cuthbert with St Matthias CE Primary School, Earls Court. After that she was able to graduate from Sylvia Young Theatre School followed by St Charles Catholic Sixth Form College. She sang from an early stage of her life. In 2004, she appeared in the British film Spivs. She auditioned for Eurovision The Country That Needs You on BBC One to be the British contestant in the 2009 Eurovision Song Contest but , later on, decided to withdraw from the contest after a couple of episodes because she wasn't sure she was ready. In 2007 Ora was the first to get her first music release , when she performed on Craig David's track titled "Awkward" as well as in 2008 with "Where's Your Love" featuring Tinchy Stryder. she also appears in the music video. Ora started singing in bars across London. Roc Nation was alerted by an A&R regarding Ora in 2009, just a few days after Ora traveled to New York and met Jay-Z. Ora appeared in Jay-Z's 2009 video for "Young Forever" as well as "Over" by Drake. Jay-Z noticed Ora and quickly signed her with Roc Nation. She was featured in a commercial featuring Skullcandy Aviator Headphones. Her father Besnik owned a bar and she began her singing career in that same pub. Gwen Stefani is a major influence on her personality. She also credits her father, Besnik who was a bar owner. She is friends with Kate Moss, and Ed Sheeran.
